Great location right off of I-75, although parking was tight. The staff was very friendly, knowlagable, and quite personable. Check in was super easy and our room was clean & well made. Complementary breakfast was better than expected and staff kept up with replenishing as the morning progressed. With only one coffee pot, there was congestion & guests got in each other's way because fixings were not arranged for flow.
I stay at Hampton inn anytime I travel but was not real impressed with this one. When we check in the person behind the desk was not friendly and did not ask if we wanted 1st,2nd or 3rd floor (even though she asked the two people in front of me) She also put us on the third floor and almost to the end of the hall. Had housekeeping knocking on the door at 7:30am! The bathroom could have been cleaner. On a good note the breakfast was descent and the lady working was very friendly. Really disappointed and checked this one off my list
We recently vacationed in the Mackinaw area of Michigan and were headed home pulling a fifth wheel camper when the hydraulic pump on our truck's brakes went out. We ended up stranded in Gaylord for several days while it was being fixed. The staff at the Hampton Inn were so gracious and made a difficult, unexpected, expensive situation a little easier. They were very friendly, helpful, and even cheered up our son and daughter, who were eager to get home, with treat bags. The hotel was well kept and super clean! I would definitely stay there again.
Very very nice. Clean and comfy. Good breakfast and a big pool! Water pressure could be better but everything else totally makes up for that.
Our stay was fabulous! From the moment we walked in we noticed how clean everything looked and smelled. Front desk lady was wonderful, kind and helpful. Room was super clean and spacious. Pool and hot tub were spotless and super fun! Great location, close to shopping, and restaurants. We would stay again and definitely recommend. The pictures online don't do it justice. Also wonderful breakfast bar included and well stocked. Thanks to everyone at Hampton Inn North. We were impressed with your establishment!
